With the holiday season upon us, everyone will undoubtedly turn to the internet to search high and low for the best gift for their loved ones money can buy (or until you reach your budget limit because the holidays are WAY too expensive and you should FOR SURE have a budget limit). So, I am here to help! Here is my list of the 20 best gifts for adventure and travel lovers:
For the Camping and Adventure Lovers:
Eno Hammock
Hammocks are great gifts for anyone who loves camping, backpacking, or even just simply loves being outside! Eno Hammocks, specifically, are so user friendly and can be set up anywhere.

Backpacks
I love backpacks because they are so versatile: you can use it for camping and traveling, but also for work, school, or just for an everyday bag. Personally, REI is my favorite place to get a new backpack because of the wide variety of brands and types they sell.

REI Socks
Okay, here me out… socks CAN be a wonderful gift! As a stocking stuffer or just simply as a wrapped gift, socks are PERFECT for your adventure lover. I don’t know if you know this, but the types of socks are endless: hiking socks, cycling socks, running socks, backpacking socks, downhill skiing socks, and even just your plain old casual socks.

Adventure Headbands
This is another gift that is great for any loved one, not just your adventure lovers. I have a set that I bought from Amazon YEARS ago (exact set linked below 🙂 ) and it is still my go to for hiking, camping, yoga, or working out. They can be worn in so many different ways, which makes them a top accessory to always travel with.

Coffee Mugs
There is nothing better in this entire world than waking up after a chilly night of camping and enjoying a hot cup of coffee in front of the fire. Bonus: you can get them personalized!

A Cooler
This is definitely on the top of my list if I am looking to give one gift with a ton of contributors. While Brad and I prefer Yeti (and have a ton of Yeti products), we do have a smaller Arctic cooler that we use frequently and love as well. Yeti coolers are so amazing because they can be used for any outdoor temperature, are leak proof, waterproof, and the hard coolers are even bear proof.

Gifts that give back:
Literally anything from Keep Nature Wild
Keep Nature Wild is, hands down, my favorite local business that I love supporting. Not only do they pick up one pound of trash for every product sold, but they also host monthly cleanup events to pick up trash in nature AND have an ambassador program called “The Wild Keepers” that encourages people to join in on the efforts. They even have a Mission and list of 10 Core Values that can be found on their website. Don’t fret if you don’t live in Arizona, they ship worldwide!

4Ocean
4Ocean checks off every category: nature lover, water lover, environmental lover. For every product sold, 4Ocean pulls one pound of trash from the ocean. My favorite thing to buy from 4Ocean is their bracelets that are dedicated to different marine life. I could go on and on about why I love to support this company, but here are just a few of the top reasons:
- 4Ocean donates at least 1% of revenue to nonprofit environmental conservation organizations
- Their t-shirts are made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton
- Their bracelet cords and beads are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic and glass bottles
This company walks the walk, and talks the talk.

Elephant Pants
The Elephants Pants is another amazing company that donates a portion of every sale to help create a sustainable future where elephants can thrive! They work with the International Elephant Foundation (IEF) by focusing on: anti-poaching and security, habitat protection, finding a cure for diseases that threaten the continuation of the species, and preventing human-elephant conflict. Plus, their pants are just so darn comfy.

Lush Charity Pot Lotion
I am a giant fan of Lush because they do not test on animals, are 100% vegetarian, are handmade, have naked packaging for some items, and practice ethical buying. On top of all of that goodness, they sell a body lotion called Charity Pot and “donate 100% of the price (minus the taxes) to small grassroots organizations working in the areas of human rights, animal protection and environmental justice.”

For the world traveler:
Packing Cubes
This is another no brainer, just like the socks 😉 Packing cubes make traveling immensely easier. You can buy a cheap set on Amazon or splurge a little at REI.
A Power Bank
The ability to keep your devices charged at all times, no matter where you are, is a wonderful thing. Since buying a power bank, we’ve taken it on long road trips, camping trips, backpacking trips, and essentially any other travel we’ve done since purchasing. This is another one of my top travel essentials.

Scratch off map
Scratch off maps are a perfect gift because they allow a fellow travel lover to keep track in a visual way of their adventures! Love traveling around the USA? There’s a map for that. Love traveling around the world? There’s a map for that! Love traveling to all of the National Parks? Of course there’s a map for that 🙂

Fitness Tracker
I will admit, I am a Fitbit girl. I love their products and I love being able to track my exercising, my heart rate, my sleeping, my caloric intake, the list goes on and on. But, there are so many products on the market right now: Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Watch, and Samsung Galaxy Fit. Just make sure you find the best fit for your loved one!

Reusable Water Bottle
If your adventurous loved one does not have a reusable water bottle yet, I promise I won’t judge (well, I’ll judge silently at least.. I mean it is 2019…). So, use this as an opportunity to help! I prefer Yeti products but just like the fitness trackers, the options for reusable water bottles are endless.
